About the Art:
“Tiger Eyes” is a collaboration I did with two Sumatran tigers, Nisha and Thomas. It was part of a fundraising event at the Topeka Zoo called Roar and Pour. Artists are teamed up with zoo animals to create one-of-a-kind art pieces. The artwork is then auctioned off to support the zoo. To create this piece, I had Nisha and Thomas paw paint the background with orange and ochre paint. Then I used markers and a white jell pen to draw a portrait of Nisha on top of their paw prints.
