About the Art
The purpose of my Mannequin series is to use inanimate objects to delve deeply into human emotions and emotionally charged topics. The drawings are often inspired by the steampunk aesthetic and contain symbolism that reflects the given topic. My goal with the series is to have the audience be able to relate to the works of art on a personal level and in return become more inclined to express their own intricate emotions. In this postcard design I combined the first nine mannequins from the series.
