About the Art:
This color pencil drawing is the one that started it all. “Vulnerability” is the first drawing in my steampunk laced Mannequin series that delves into different emotions and emotional topics. I came up with the idea of this piece when I was taking a shower (it’s a great place to think!). After sketching out the piece, I instantly loved the idea of blending together a mannequin with real human organs and steampunk elements. As someone who loves costuming, steampunk, and anatomy it was a winning combination. I decided to name this piece “Vulnerability” because of the mannequin’s exposed lungs. But it also turned out to be the gateway piece for me to be more vulnerable as an artist.
